The Caterpillar R1700G is a heavy-duty underground wheel loader (LHD – Load-Haul-Dump) built for hard-rock mining and tight underground drives. This is a new machine (model year 2026), available immediately for the most demanding loading and haulage applications.
Power comes from the proven Cat C11 diesel engine displacing 11,100 cm³ and rated at 324 kW. A PowerShift transmission transmits drive to all four wheels, with a top speed of 24 km/h. Operating weight is 38,500 kg; wheelbase 3,680 mm.
The 6.6 m³ bucket delivers high payload per cycle to maximise productivity. Standard equipment includes central lubrication, reversing camera, and toolbox. The operator's cab is fitted with joystick controls, an instrument display, and additional working lights for underground illumination. The articulated frame provides manoeuvrability in confined headings.
